Leaders move from unemployed or underemployed to steady work earning between $15 – 18 an hour to develop a work history and build career competencies. The Leap Camp is two weeks long with coaching continuing for up to six months. Leap Camps take place in particular areas of Nashville and are hosted by churches and non-profit partners. This phase will last from 4 – 6 months.
Leap Phase
Leaders move from a foundational, starter job of $15 – 18 an hour to an entry level position in a professional field earning between $36,000 – 75,000 a year with benefits, depending on career track. Leaders may earn certifications such as Medical Assistant, Microsoft Word, Commercial Drivers’ License. Some may find employment at earn and learn opportunities such as skilled trades. The Leap Camp is four weeks long with coaching continuing for up to six months.
Legacy Phase
In this stage, Leaders move to yearly wages between $60,000 – 100,000 a year, depending on career track, with benefits and savings. In a Legacy Cohort, Leaders will receive support such as financial education and coaching, tuition support for additional education/certifications,entrepreneurship training, and career coaching leading to a promotion.
